CE-mark The CE-mark is no approval mark. It is an administrative mark showing that the product is in conformity with the EC guidelines currently in force. With it the manufacturer of the product declares on his own authority that the requirements of European guidelines are met. No product is allowed to be brought into circulation within the European Union if the CE mark is missing.

GS-mark The GS mark is an exclusively national approval mark. Authorised inspection boards verify with the GS mark that a product is in conformity with the equipment safety law. The GS mark may only be used in connection with the mark of the inspection body. The VDE inspection board also issues the GS mark, however leaves it up to the holder to carry either the GS mark in combination with the VDE mark or the VDE mark on its own. The statement that the GS mark replaces the VDE mark and is the only safety mark in the Federal Republic of Germany is wrong (Hamburg district court verdict of 01.11.1984, no. 120484/84).

Overheating protection:
Appliance is protected against overheating. If the temperature is too high, the thermostat and/or one heating spiral switches off until the temperature has fallen to the normal level again.

Power-controlled (Power control):
Depending on the switch position, this control system operates with a certain power. This means that the temperature stays very constant with the appliance heating evenly independent of the pot's composition.

Precision thermostat:
Capillary tube regulator - Thermostat can be adjusted infinitely from about 30 deg C up to the point of boiling. The temperature is controlled automatically, which is why an additional thermometer is no more necessary.

VDE-markThe VDE mark is an approval mark that is internationally acknowledged, globally protected and verified by foreign inspection boards, and it can only be issued by the VDE testing and certification institute in Offenbach. In VDE inspection procedures, special importance is attached that the examination, which is based on the VDE and DIN regulations, will be carried out in full compliance with the standards. The VDE mark makes a comprehensive statement about the safety of an electrotechnical product in terms of electrical, mechanical, thermic, toxic and other dangers. Besides meeting the VDE requirements, a product carrying the VDE mark also complies with the regulations about health and safety at work and accident prevention. A manufacturer is entitled to mark his products with the VDE mark if their compliance with the safety regulations was verified by the VDE authorities. Moreover, the production process is supervised by VDE inspection board engineers taking random samples for re-examination.
