This is our story

It all began with a spark and an inventor in Stuttgart.
In 1928, when the world was in upheaval, a man with a head full of ideas sat in his small workshop:  Dipl.-Ing. Gustav Rommelsbacher. What drove him? More than technology, it was curiosity, a feeling for what has to come. He developed his frist loudspeaker systems in Stuttgart - not just appliances, but sonorous visions of their time. 

Then came the war. And after that a new beginning.

Gustav Rommelsbacher settled in Dinkelsbühl - with nothing but expertise, passion and the will to make thins possible. In a simple garage, he built appliances from whatever he could find that were urgently needed at the time - radiant heaters, irons, mobile hotplates. The 'robusta' brand was born and with it a name that soon came to stand for reliability far beyong Germany.

From the garage to the world.

The first company building was constructed from solid quarry stome, as durable as the values it carried. Year after year, the company expanded, thought further, built further. A vision became a company. And a garage became a story that continues to this day.

Later, his son, daughter and son-in-law joined the team. The robusta brand became ROMMELSBACHER – a deliberate step to carry the founder's name and the company's established identity into the future.

In 1991, the third generation took the  helm, a moment full of optimism and drive. Just four years later, in 1995, a significant milestone followed: the move to a larger building complex. This laid the foundation for a new chapter - space for ideas, visions and sustainable growth.

The next big step followed in 2014.

The site in Dinkelsbühl was made fit for the future with a comprehensive modernisation and expansion - a clear commitment to further development and looking to the future. With a great deal of commitment, high-quality products and the strengths of a family business, a brand developed that is now recognised worldwide for first-class quality products.
