Is it possible to also make ice cream from frozen fruit with this appliance? Yes, it works. A creamy fruit ice cream can be made from frozen berries and a little yoghurt, cream or fruit juice. However, breaking hard and frozen fruits is not part of the “normal” range of applications for the appliance. We definitely recommend mixing the frozen fruit with some liquid to protect the knife.
Is it also possible to chop home-made brittle? Yes, because with the multi chopper you decide yourself how big or small you want to chop the ingredients. The longer you press the power button, the longer the blades rotate and the finer the food will be. With brittle it is probably sufficient to give one or two short impulses so you can see the progress through the glass container and you can stop in good time.
Is it possible to chop small, oligenious seeds like e. g. linseed? Seeds that are too small (such as linseed) are often too low in weight for being processed in this appliance. They will be whirled around too much by the blades to be effectively chopped up. Therefore we recommend our spice and coffee grinder model EGK 200 for processing linseed.
Is it also possible to grind coffee beans with the multi chopper? In a multi chopper, food is chopped up, not ground. But theoretically, coffee beans can also be chopped in the MZ 400 or MZ 500 multi chopper at least to a degree of fineness that is suitable for percolators or French press. However, the amount of coffee beans that you would have to fill in for this is very high. We therefore recommend our ROMMELSBACHER coffee grinders for grinding coffee beans.
Is it possible to make nutspread with the appliance? Our multi-chopper is also suitable for chopping nuts. However, it is not possible to produce a fine puree.
Can ice cubes be crushed? No, unfortunately this is not possible. The special blade is not suitable - for chopping very hard food such as coffee beans, nutmeg, cereals, fruits with stones, dried fruits, etc. - for chopping ice cubes or frozen food
